Military Grade Long Range Communication via Chirp Spread Spectrum
LoRa® is a patented digital wireless data communication IoT technology created for wireless, battery-operated devices. Using lower frequencies than 2.4 or 5.8 GHz LoRa® have better range. LoRa® stands for Long Range and it is a technology that uses unlicensed spectrum below 1 GHz along with a form of direct sequence Chirp spread spectrum modulation that provides signal detection below the noise level. As a result, this technology is able to use extremely low transmit power levels and can fulfil many of the requirements for long battery life. Chirp spread spectrum has been used in military and space communication for decades due to the long communication distances that can be achieved and robustness to interference. Still, LoRa® is the first low cost implementation for commercial usage.
Part of the EVO 9 SERIES, the 2-way RKF912 RF kit is based on a 900 MHz LoRa® SST communication platform. Its two 1-button RM912 extreme urban range remote controllers operate over an extended distance of up to 6,000 feet (2,000 meters). This system is equipped with a state-of-the-art Anti-Code Grabbing Technology that secures communication between the user and the vehicle, as well as with Eco-Connect Technology, developed to maximize battery life. Outfitted with our ANT900 antenna which is equipped with a programming button and double blue LED indicators, this RF kit delivers the perfect balance between simplicity and efficiency.
